As I said at the beginning of the Digital Art page, some of what I’ve published here are photographs and some fall into the category of digital art.
This one started as a picture of a dragonfly on the tip of an unopened oleander pod. The original is called Tiny Dancer. I got tremendously lucky in that a light breeze caught the dragonfly and lifted its body up over its head. The end result reminds me of a ballet pose called the arabesque penché.
Around the same time, I had experimented with photos of the full moon. In a moment of inspiration I had the idea to combine the images.
This picture is the result.
